What you will do

• Design and develop remotely operated, automated, robotic, and tele-operated reactor servicing tools and inspection equipment.
• Prepare, review, and maintain engineering reports, specifications, drawings, calculations, system descriptions, and design documentation.
• Collaborate with component design, Systems Engineering, and Operations teams to define interfaces, requirements, handling plans, and work sequences.
• Develop engineering standards and criteria while resolving complex mechanical and systems engineering problems.
• Support procurement, fabrication, and testing activities for engineered equipment.
• Apply nuclear quality assurance standards and promote a strong safety culture.

Requirements

• B.S. degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Nuclear Engineering from an accredited four-year institution; ABET accreditation is preferred.
• At least two years of relevant full-time experience; an advanced degree may substitute for or reduce the experience requirement.
• Experience planning, preparing, and checking mechanical design documents for equipment and systems.
• Experience designing mechanical handling equipment and systems using engineering design processes.
• Must be eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810.
• Ability to travel nationally and locally and work effectively in a safety- and quality-focused environment.

Nice to have

• Professional Engineer license in Mechanical, Electrical, or Nuclear Engineering.
• Previous experience working in a nuclear operating environment.
