TL;DR

Associate Principal Engineer (Electrical Power): Designing and overseeing complex mission-critical substation projects with an accent on technical leadership, QA/QC, and power system studies. Focus on developing industry standards, mentoring staff, and performing detailed electrical design for high-load facilities.

Location: Full-time remote or onsite in Lakewood, CO. Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Salary: $100,000 - $175,000 per year

What you will do

  • Act as a subject matter expert for the most complex projects within the Mission Critical department.
  • Lead the creation and implementation of engineering standards and oversee QA/QC for substation projects.
  • Perform and review detailed designs, including one-line diagrams, SCADA, communications, and grounding.
  • Conduct power system studies such as short circuit, load flow, relay coordination, and arc flash analysis.
  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for clients on assigned electrical projects.
  • Mentor and coach staff to develop technical capabilities within the group.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
  • 7+ years of relevant engineering or field experience.
  • PE (Professional Engineer) licensure is required.
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
  • Strong written and verbal command of the English language.
