NDT Technician (Engineering)

Salary: $65,000 – $75,000 per year + 5% target bonus

What you will do

• Witness performance testing of water pumps, line voltage electrical systems, and aerial ladders on municipal fire apparatus.
• Perform safety and non-safety certification inspections and evaluate results against applicable requirements.
• Audit customer quality management programs and review production and inspection records.
• Use technical instruments such as micrometers and voltmeters to verify compliance and calibrate equipment.
• Document examination variations and test results using official UL forms.
• Collaborate with manufacturers, customers, and Authorities Having Jurisdiction to resolve problems and implement requirement changes.

Requirements

• Must be based in the Appleton, WI area with dependable personal transportation for travel in Northeast Wisconsin.
• Fluency in English is required.
• Strong mechanical/electrical aptitude and technical ability.
• Ability to work outdoors year-round and inside production facilities.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in confined or elevated spaces.
• Availability to work second shift (evening shift).

Nice to have

• Completion of NDT Classroom Training in MT, VT, and UT.
• Previous Level II NDT experience and certification.
• Experience with welding and fabrication.
