Senior Director, Enterprise Program Management

Location: London, UK; Charlottesville, VA preferred; or select US East Coast locations in VA, GA, NC, and FL

Salary: $170,000–$200,000 per year for US national locations; £100,000–£130,000 per year for London

What you will do

• Lead and develop business-facing program managers supporting strategic and enterprise change initiatives.
• Oversee multiple programs at portfolio level, managing priorities, dependencies, risks, milestones, funding considerations, and benefits delivery.
• Partner with senior business stakeholders to turn ambiguous or evolving requirements into clear delivery plans.
• Serve as a senior escalation and problem-solving partner to unblock delivery challenges.
• Champion consistent program management discipline, change frameworks, governance, reporting, and ways of working.
• Refresh the PMO operating model and support the thoughtful use of tools, data, and AI-enabled practices.

Requirements

• Senior leadership experience in program management, enterprise PMO, transformation, or business change within a complex organization.
• Experience overseeing multiple programs or a broader portfolio rather than only individual projects.
• Strong skills in planning, governance, delivery rhythms, dependency management, risk management, and benefits realization.
• Experience leading, coaching, or developing program managers or similar delivery professionals.
• Ability to create structure from ambiguity and partner credibly with senior business stakeholders.
• Experience working across business and technology-enabled change, with the judgment to use agile, waterfall, or hybrid approaches as appropriate.

Nice to have

• Experience in financial services, education, professional associations, EdTech, consulting, or other stakeholder-led environments.
• Experience improving PMO operating models, change frameworks, portfolio governance, reporting, or benefits realization.
• Qualifications such as PMP, PgMP, PRINCE2, Prosci, or similar.
• Exposure to AI-enabled process improvement, program tooling, portfolio analytics, or delivery automation.
