TL;DR

Location: San Diego, CA (on-site with remote Fridays). Up to 30% travel.

What you will do

  • Design, evaluate, and plan plumbing systems for healthcare, life sciences, higher education, and data centers.
  • Lead multidisciplinary project teams through design, construction, and commissioning phases.
  • Provide technical direction, mentoring, and QA/QC reviews for engineering staff and deliverables.
  • Develop bidding documents, specifications, and Revit models while coordinating with support staff.
  • Engage clients, drive business development, and resolve complex problems using analytical tools.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 10+ years of experience engineering and managing plumbing systems projects.
  • Advanced expertise in Autodesk software (Revit, Navisworks) and plumbing calculations.
  • High-level knowledge of California Building Code (CBC) and HCAI requirements.
  • PE registration preferred; experience at a design engineering firm required.
  • Ability to work independently, review work of others, and perform site assessments.
