Location: Hybrid work in Hamburg or Berlin, Germany, with flex-time and the option to work from abroad for up to 30 calendar days per year.

What you will do

• Lead the Data Collection production line across source identification and unlocking, source exploration, and source extraction and ingestion.
• Own the strategy, roadmap, operating model, and portfolio role of Data Collection as a key volume driver.
• Lead three specialized sub-teams, setting priorities, developing people, and establishing a culture of ownership.
• Build and manage data partnerships, including commercial negotiations, contractual agreements, and exclusive revenue-share models.
• Steer production through KPIs covering volume, coverage, efficiency, source transparency, and output quality.
• Drive automation, AI adoption, standardized setups, and collaboration with Data Engineering, Product, Revenue, and downstream teams.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in data operations, data partnerships, data engineering, or a data-centric business, including a proven track record of leading teams.
• Experience collecting, structuring, or commercializing third-party data at scale through scraping, APIs, partnerships, or licensing models.
• Experience treating data as a product and understanding its users, use cases, and commercial value.
• Experience managing production operations through KPIs focused on volume, coverage, throughput, and cost efficiency.
• Technical understanding of scraping, APIs, ingestion pipelines, data structuring, intelligent extraction, LLM-based harmonization, and automated quality assurance.
• Excellent English communication skills required for leading cross-functional teams and coordinating stakeholders.
