Senior Project Manager (BESS)

Location: United Kingdom - Remote; willingness to travel up to 30% of the time is required.

What you will do

• Lead turn-key EPC and core-only battery energy storage projects from contract close through execution, operations, and handover.
• Own P&L responsibility for projects valued at up to $30M or more.
• Manage engineering reviews, schedules, budgets, resource allocation, safety plans, and quality plans across multiple projects.
• Coordinate EPC partners, equipment suppliers, contractors, subcontractors, customers, and internal stakeholders.
• Resolve technical issues and close snags, quality issues, and non-conformances while maintaining delivery targets.
• Review project budgets, revenue, and cash-flow forecasts, support contract negotiations, and identify cost-control and value-engineering opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering, physics, or another technical discipline.
• At least 10 years of experience in project management, construction management, or engineering within the power generation market.
• At least 5 years of P&L responsibility for equipment supply or turn-key projects.
• Experience with electrical equipment codes and standards, turn-key energy infrastructure construction, and subcontractor contracts.
• Experience managing matrix project organizations with six or more functions and a valid senior project management certification such as PMI PgMP or IPMA Level B.
• Business-level English is required; a valid driver’s license and willingness to travel up to 30% are also required.

Nice to have

• Experience delivering projects to utility customers in Ireland.
• Knowledge of DS3 Services, the EirGrid Grid Code, and the Single Electricity Market.
• Experience in energy storage markets and fast-paced startup technology environments.
