What you will do

• Advise clients on building safety, particularly in residential and higher-risk buildings.
• Prepare building safety cases, resident engagement strategies, documentation, and health and safety management systems.
• Conduct building safety case reviews and fire risk assessments.
• Advise on remedial actions, safety improvements, and ongoing regulatory compliance.
• Provide technical guidance to clients, contractors, developers, colleagues, and key stakeholders.
• Lead client engagement and ensure projects comply with current building regulations and legislation.

Requirements

• Previous experience in building control, building safety, or a related sector.
• Experience with quality and technical monitoring on construction projects.
• Knowledge of UK building regulations, Approved Document B, and relevant British Standards.
• Building safety qualification, or willingness to work toward one.
• Health and safety qualification such as the NEBOSH General Certificate.
• Membership of a relevant professional body such as IOSH, CIOB, or IFE.

Nice to have

• Fire safety qualification or demonstrable fire safety experience.
