What you will do

• Lead technical and design processes, managing design teams and subcontractors from procurement through construction.
• Review and input into bids, undertaking technical appraisals and identifying value engineering opportunities.
• Manage external consultants to ensure delivery within time, quality, and budget constraints.
• Fulfil Principal Designer roles for CDM and Building Regulations compliance.
• Coordinate design packages including fire safety, structures, M&E, and façades.
• Monitor site progress, manage RFIs, and oversee the collation of handover documentation and O&M manuals.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work onsite in Warrington, UK.
• Proven track record of managing design and technical processes for residential buildings.
• Strong experience with high-rise developments and building safety legislative frameworks.
• Technical expertise in assessing design compliance, buildability, and risk.
• Valid driving licence.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Membership of a professional body such as CIOB, CIAT, or RICS.
• Experience with CAD (AutoCAD or Revit) and BIM.
• Knowledge of PAS9980 fire risk assessments and temporary works.
• Minimum Level 4 (HNC/NVQ4) architectural or construction-based qualification.
