Senior Design Manager (Infrastructure)

Location: Based from National Offices, ideally London, with a requirement to travel

What you will do

• Lead the Technical Team, including Design Managers, Coordinators, and Document Controllers, across all project stages from bid to handover.
• Oversee the technical delivery of multiple projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and align with business objectives.
• Manage and monitor the performance of consultant and subcontractor designers.
• Contribute to new bids by conducting technical appraisals, assessing compliance, and identifying value engineering opportunities.
• Ensure all building designs are fully coordinated, including fire safety, structures, M&E, and façades.
• Fulfill the Building Regulations Principal Designer (Dutyholder) role.

Requirements

• Proven track record in managing all aspects of the design and technical process for residential buildings.
• Experience with high-rise developments.
• Deep understanding of the Building Safety Act, Building Regulations, and HRB Procedure Regulations.
• Strong leadership and people management skills, including coaching and performance management.
• Valid driving license is required.
• Up-to-date knowledge of construction industry legislation and procedures.
