Mechatronics Engineer (SolidWorks)

What you will do

• Design assembly jigs, positioning fixtures, inspection tooling, and manual production equipment in SolidWorks.
• Create manufacturing drawings, bills of materials, and assembly and usage instructions.
• Design mechanical elements for automated cells, including frames, motion axes, grippers, guarding, and enclosures.
• Select and size mechanical components for reliability and maintainability in continuous production.
• Integrate mechanical designs with sensors, actuators, pneumatics, and control systems.
• Support shopfloor commissioning, debugging, and production-line improvements with industrialisation, methods, and automation teams.

Requirements

• Engineering degree in mechanical design, mechatronics, industrial engineering, or an equivalent discipline.
• Strong 3D design experience and very good command of SolidWorks.
• Experience designing jigs, fixtures, or industrial tooling, preferably for series production.
• Working knowledge of sensors, actuators, pneumatics, and basic electrical integration.
• Good working communication in both French and English is required.
• Hands-on, autonomous, resourceful, and comfortable working directly on the shopfloor in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with cobot or robotic cells, automated test benches, or custom production equipment.
• Experience with ramp-up, startup, or new product introduction environments.
• Exposure to ESD-controlled environments and production tooling standards.
• Comfort working in ambiguous environments where processes are still being established.
