Location: Must be based in Bordeaux, France (relocation assistance and visa sponsorship provided)

Salary: €47.5K – €60K

The Exploration Company is developing, producing, and operating Nyx, a modular and reusable space orbital vehicle capable of carrying cargo and potentially humans.

What you will do

  • Define and develop manufacturing processes for solenoid isolation valve components, including machining, welding, and brazing.
  • Develop and qualify high-precision tooling and fixtures to ensure repeatable assembly.
  • Establish and enforce precision cleaning and contamination control procedures for storable-propellant hardware.
  • Coordinate manufacturing activities with internal machine shops and external specialty suppliers.
  • Create inspection plans and acceptance criteria, including dimensional, NDI, and leak checks.
  • Drive continuous improvement of yield, cycle time, and cost through process optimization.

Requirements

  • B.S. in mechanical, manufacturing, or aerospace engineering.
  • Experience manufacturing precision flight hardware, particularly valves or fluid components.
  • Hands-on experience with machining, welding, brazing, or precision assembly processes.
  • Proficiency with GD&T and inspection methods such as CMM and leak testing.
  • Knowledge of cleanliness and contamination control for propellant-wetted hardware.
  • Ability to work onsite in Bordeaux, France.

Nice to have

  • Experience with storable or hypergolic propellants.
  • Familiarity with AS9100 or similar aerospace quality systems.
