What you will do
- Design new robotic and mechatronic systems for highly constrained vacuum and cryogenic environments.
- Perform mechanical design and optimization of precision components and assies using CAD software.
- Manage manufacturing activities through the in-house workshop and external suppliers.
- Execute mechanical assy, integration, and commissioning of new instruments.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation and detailed manufacturing drawings.
- Collaborate with engineers, scientists, and technicians across international research facilities.
Requirements
- Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering, CAD Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
- Strong experience with SolidWorks, including simulation and analysis tools.
- Proven experience designing systems for vacuum and cryogenic environments.
- Deep understanding of precision mechanical design, manufacturing methods, and tolerancing.
- English: Good communication skills required.
- French: Good working knowledge required.
- Location: Must be based in or be able to work onsite in Grenoble, France.
Nice to have
- Experience in prototype development and assy.
- Experience working within an international research environment.
- Knowledge of supplier management and manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with robotics or scientific instrumentation.
