Salary: From €3,335.43 net per month, before 12.99% social security deductions, with additional paid benefits

What you will do
- Design and wire electrical cabinets with power and control electronics, safety circuits, I/O systems, and pneumatic installations.
- Develop PLC-based control and safety logic, dedicated electronic circuits, and motion-control solutions using platforms such as Beckhoff and PMAC.
- Design, integrate, commission, upgrade, and maintain mechatronic systems operating under vacuum and cryogenic conditions.
- Support development of an automated sample changer for the ID18 nano-tomography beamline in collaboration with ESRF.
- Perform system qualification and validation, including thermal performance and vacuum leak testing.
- Create technical documentation and improve the reliability and maintainability of existing instrumentation.
Requirements
- Advanced degree in Mechatronics, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience with electrical and electronic schematic design, instrumentation, and control electronics.
- Experience with vacuum and cryogenic systems, pneumatic or hydraulic installations, and motion-control systems.
- Knowledge of PLC programming, industrial automation, and applied physics for engineering applications.
- Proactive approach, strong teamwork, and the ability to explain and justify technical solutions.
- Good written and spoken English is required.
Nice to have
- Experience with prototype development, assy, and testing.
- Experience in an international research environment.
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols or optics.
- Working knowledge of French.
