Mechanical Engineer

Mechanical Engineer (Engineering): Lead the development of Norma's core CO₂ capture hardware from lab-scale proof of concept to industrial prototype and pilot plant with an accent on mechanical design, CAD, fabrication, and testing. Focus on defining design requirements, executing hands-on development, and building pilot plant systems to meet technical milestones.

What you will do

• Technical Owner: Define design and process requirements and own the hardware roadmap.
• Builder & Tester: Execute mechanical design, CAD, fabrication, testing, and iteration hands-on.
• Pilot Lead: Plan, commission, and build the pilot plant including P&IDs and operations documentation.
• Engineering Standard-Bearer: Ensure traceability and rigor across design documentation and systems.
• Team Multiplier: Support R&D, coordinate suppliers, and guide junior engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with minimum 2 years product development experience in hardware.
• Completed development cycle on at least one professional project from concept to production.
• Hands-on skills: CAD, assembly, testing, and design for manufacturing including machining and 3D printing.
• English: B2 level or higher required for this international environment.

Nice to have

• Experience in DAC/CCUS, electrolyzers, or fuel cells industries.
• Skills in Python, MATLAB, P&ID, fluid and thermal systems, electrical and power systems knowledge, standards and compliance, and project management.
