Director Value Stream (Aerospace Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Lead manufacturing, industrialisation, supply chain, production, quality, testing, and launch operations.
• Own operational delivery for manufacturing readiness, production planning, vehicle integration, test readiness, and programme milestones.
• Build a scalable manufacturing system covering CNC machining, electrical and composite assembly, additive manufacturing, engine assembly, and final vehicle integration.
• Develop supplier partnerships, dual-source strategies, procurement, logistics, long-lead material planning, and supplier quality.
• Establish quality, configuration control, product assurance, metrology, NDT, and Zero Defects practices.
• Develop long-term operational capabilities for higher launch cadence, multiple launch sites, international manufacturing expansion, automation, and digital manufacturing.

Requirements

• Extensive executive leadership experience in aerospace, defence, automotive, advanced manufacturing, or another high-technology industry.
• Proven success scaling complex manufacturing operations from development into serial production and leading large multidisciplinary organisations.
• Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing, industrialisation, production systems, and operational excellence.
• Experience delivering complex capital equipment or highly regulated products, including large operational budgets and capital investment programmes.
• Demonstrated success in supply chain transformation, supplier development, stakeholder management, and cross-functional programme delivery.
• Knowledge of APQP/PPAP, configuration management, digital manufacturing, Industry 4.0, AS9100, production planning, test operations, and operational risk management.
