Director, Continuous Improvement and Industry 4.0 (AI)

Location: Based at the Rodange facility in Luxembourg; candidates may reside near manufacturing hubs in Luxembourg, France, the UK, Germany, or Belgium.

Salary: EUR 116,340–186,144 per year.

What you will do

• Lead the central Enterprise Lean System function and establish regional operational and supply chain standards.
• Govern Lean manufacturing practices including 5S, standard work audits, Kaizen, SMED, TPM, and OEE loss analysis.
• Build regional capability through Yellow, Green, and Black Belt certification pathways, digital literacy programs, and train-the-trainer initiatives.
• Lead strategic deployment, annual operating planning, cross-functional Catchball alignment, and executive PDCA governance.
• Drive Industry 4.0 transformation through AI, predictive models, shopfloor IoT, control-tower dashboards, cognitive automation, and digital twin simulations.
• Capture local site innovations and scale validated practices through a regional standard playbook while mentoring the central team.

Requirements

• Extensive experience leading Lean, Six Sigma, and Continuous Improvement functions at regional or global scale.
• Proven experience implementing Industry 4.0 solutions such as IoT, predictive maintenance, AI, or digital twins in manufacturing.
• Experience designing, documenting, and scaling operational systems and standards.
• Expertise in Hoshin Kanri and strategic deployment, with the ability to align shopfloor, functional, and executive stakeholders.
• Experience building capability, leading training academies, and mentoring operational leaders.
• Must be based at or near the stated European manufacturing hubs.
