Supply Chain Manufacturing Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Lisbon, Portugal; hybrid working model combining onsite and offsite work.

hirify.global develops aerospace products and is establishing a new industrial setup for aerostructures assembly and future zero-emission aircraft.

What you will do

• Act as the technical interface between procurement, suppliers, and internal supply chain functions.
• Create and validate technical specifications for work transfers and component relocation packages.
• Assess industrial concepts, work-package feasibility, manufacturing processes, production resources, and supplier offers.
• Lead design-to-cost and design-to-value initiatives with suppliers, identifying optimization opportunities through lean methods.
• Conduct technical shop-floor assessments, track corrective measures, and evaluate their effectiveness at supplier sites.
• Support supplier audits as a technical expert and contribute to tenders, industrialization, and gap-closure projects.

Requirements

• Diploma or master’s degree in engineering, materials science, or an equivalent qualification.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing composite and/or metallic materials and production processes.
• Understanding of lean manufacturing, focused factory, and Six Sigma concepts.
• Project management experience and the ability to analyze and prepare technical information.
• Strong analytical, presentation, teamwork, and structured-working skills.
• Negotiation-level English is required; German is an advantage. Occasional business travel is expected.

Nice to have

• Procurement experience or knowledge of procurement processes.
• Experience with Google environment, PLM, SAP, or PAS SSI.
• German language skills.
