Senior Staff Engineer - Validation (Semiconductor)

What you will do

• Lead and perform IP characterization and validation for Analog and DSP-based SerDes blocks.
• Define measurement methodologies and help designers resolve gaps between simulation and silicon results.
• Collaborate with firmware, system validation, and application engineering teams to optimize IP performance and robustness.
• Manage local lab activities and provide technical guidance to other validation engineers.
• Author technical documentation including application notes, user guides, and evaluation kit manuscripts.
• Provide device-specific application support to customers and Field Application Engineers.

Requirements

• BSEE/MSEE or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering with 10+ years of experience in silicon validation and characterization.
• Hands-on experience with high-speed multi-lane SERDES, including testing of ADC, PLL, DAC, and Drivers.
• Proficiency with lab equipment such as Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analyzers, BERTs, and VNA.
• Experience with communication protocols like PCI-Express, 10GBASE-KR/SR/MR/ER/LR, and CEI-56G.
• Must be eligible to access export-controlled information under U.S. export control laws.
• Strong communication skills and experience working with international cross-functional teams.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in software control of lab equipment using C++, Perl, or Python.
• Working knowledge of ADS or Matlab for SerDes modeling.
• Experience in electro-optical systems and analog circuit design.
