Director of AI and Educational Technology (AI)

Location: Remote, but the role must be performed from the United States or another eligible country where the candidate already has valid authorization to work and reside. Visa sponsorship, immigration assistance, and work-permit support are not provided. International travel of up to 10% is expected, with occasional early-morning or evening calls across time zones.

What you will do

• Define and execute the strategic vision for AI literacy, educational technology, digital platforms, and EdTech entrepreneurship.
• Set the product strategy and roadmap for a public-facing global knowledge hub, including platform migration, taxonomy, editorial processes, and content operations.
• Build strategic relationships with AI companies, technology providers, platform partners, donors, and philanthropic funders.
• Develop global educator, alumni, and EdTech entrepreneur communities while supporting regional expansion.
• Build, manage, and develop a high-performing internationally distributed team, beginning with a dedicated AI specialist.
• Oversee budgets, delivery, events, KPIs, impact measurement, board reporting, and external representation.

Requirements

• 8+ years of progressive leadership experience in educational technology, AI integration, digital transformation, global education, or a closely related field.
• Experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives across international markets, distributed organizations, or global networks.
• Experience in product strategy, digital platform leadership, content management, or knowledge-hub development.
• Strong understanding of generative AI applications, educational technology infrastructure, and relevant pedagogical frameworks.
• Experience developing strategic partnerships, managing teams, and presenting to senior executives, boards, international audiences, or major conferences.
• Valid authorization to work and reside in the country where the role is performed is required; visa sponsorship and work-permit support are unavailable.

Nice to have

• Fluency in Spanish, French, or Arabic.
• Familiarity with global education networks and distributed partnership models.
• Experience designing entrepreneurship communities, incubators, innovation programs, or global practitioner networks.
