Principal Engineer, Product Development Engineer (Integrated Circuits)

Location: Penang, Malaysia; hybrid work model with regular on-site work at the assigned hirify.global site. Shift 1, Malaysia.

What you will do

• Lead testability and manufacturability methodologies for integrated circuits across the product lifecycle.
• Evaluate product designs using Automatic Test Equipment and debug functionality and performance issues with cross-functional teams.
• Drive DFT, DFD, and DFM improvements with design teams to improve production testing.
• Develop and debug software programs, validation vectors, and hardware solutions for component testing.
• Analyze yield, performance, and test time to optimize production costs while maintaining product quality.
• Partner with fab, assembly, and manufacturing teams on product qualification, high-volume manufacturing ramp, and technical issue resolution.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related field with 12+ years of relevant experience; or a master’s degree with 8+ years; or a PhD with 6+ years.
• Expertise in integrated circuit testability and manufacturability, including DFT, DFD, and DFM principles.
• Experience developing complex software for test equipment and validation processes.
• Hands-on experience with Automatic Test Equipment and data analysis for yield optimization.
• Strong background in post-silicon debug and manufacturing readiness.
• Ability to work in the hybrid model in Penang, Malaysia, including on-site work at the assigned hirify.global location.
