TL;DR
Senior IMS System Support for z/OS (IMS/z/OS): Supporting and modernizing mission-critical IMS environments on z/OS with an accent on system programming, high availability, and incident resolution. Focus on diagnosing complex failures, analyzing dumps and logs, applying IBM maintenance, and coordinating recovery across enterprise teams.
Location: Hortolândia, São Paulo, Brazil. The role is associated with a hybrid-friendly work culture.

What you will do
- Administer and support IMS subsystems in large-scale z/OS environments.
- Install, configure, upgrade, maintain, and optimize IMS systems.
- Resolve complex incidents, including Sev1 and Sev2 issues, through dump and log analysis.
- Manage incident, problem, and service request queues in line with ITIL, SLA, and compliance standards.
- Support high-availability and disaster-recovery exercises.
- Collaborate with IMS DBAs, z/OS system programmers, and application teams while providing technical guidance.
Requirements
- Extensive hands-on experience supporting the IMS subsystem on z/OS.
- Strong IMS system programming expertise, including installation, configuration, upgrades, and maintenance.
- Advanced problem determination skills, including complex troubleshooting and dump and log analysis.
- Solid knowledge of z/OS fundamentals, including JCL, TSO/ISPF, SDSF, JES2, and system-level operations.
- Experience with high-availability and disaster-recovery support in enterprise, mission-critical environments.
- Advanced English required for direct communication with global clients.
Nice to have
- SMP/E expertise for applying IBM IMS maintenance, including PTFs and APARs.
- Familiarity with third-party IMS monitoring, automation, and utility tools.
- Exposure to modernization or optimization initiatives.
- Ability to mentor junior system programmers.
