Infrastructure Platform Engineer (OpenStack): Operating and scaling OpenStack compute, networking, provisioning, and storage infrastructure with an accent on platform reliability, distributed systems, and infrastructure support. Focus on troubleshooting Nova, Neutron, Ironic, Ceph, Nomad, and Kubernetes storage integrations while building automation and participating in on-call operations.
Location: LATAM, Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, South Africa, or Uruguay

What you will do
- Operate and improve the existing Nomad platform while supporting engineering teams and removing infrastructure blockers.
- Help evolve and scale the next-generation OpenStack platform across compute, networking, and provisioning.
- Support OpenStack and storage systems, including Nova, Neutron, Ironic, Ceph, Cinder, and Kubernetes CSI integrations.
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues with senior engineers across compute, storage, networking, and orchestration.
- Build automation and tooling, and maintain operational documentation and runbooks.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to maintain platform reliability.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as an Infrastructure, Platform, DevOps, Software Engineer, or in a similar role.
- Hands-on experience building or maintaining an OpenStack private cloud or Ceph networked storage platform.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, Linux, networking fundamentals, TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, and PKI concepts.
- Experience with scripting or programming in Python, Bash, Go, or a similar language.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach to resolving compute and storage requests.
- Ability to use AI tools and agents such as Claude and OpenAI to deliver business value.
Nice to have
- Production experience operating or troubleshooting Nomad workloads.
- Experience with Salt, Ansible, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, virtualization, or hypervisor operations.
- Additional experience with OpenStack, Ceph, or other cloud and distributed storage platforms.
