Sr. Data Scientist - AI Research

Location: Remote within the United States, or onsite at the Burlingame, California headquarters.

Annual base salary: $128,000–$197,000, with potential discretionary bonuses.

What you will do

• Collaborate with Data, Product, Engineering, and Clinical teams on AI/ML initiatives for mental health patients and providers.
• Analyze diverse data sources and partner with data engineers to build pipelines applying clinical logic to raw data.
• Extract actionable insights and develop predictive and generative models.
• Implement rigorous evaluation frameworks to support product iterations.
• Complete time-sensitive ad hoc data requests for internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• 5+ years of industry data analysis experience.
• Experience collaborating with technical, business, and ideally clinical stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of experimentation, probability, regression, and hypothesis testing.
• Experience analyzing irregular data from disparate sources and cleaning messy data.
• Strong SQL skills, including complex queries across multiple schemas and tables.
• Graduate-level statistics coursework; an MS in a quantitative field is preferred.

Nice to have

• Product analytics experience in AI/ML.
• AI/ML R&D experience, including prompt engineering and RAG.
• Python experience with data cleaning, JSON parsing, API calls, user-defined functions, and automation.
• Interest in public health.
