Senior Data Scientist (AI)

Location: Deerfield, Illinois, United States; hybrid commuter role requiring on-site work at least 2 days per week

Salary: $134,168.25–$181,521.75 annual base salary

What you will do

• Lead data science, machine learning, and AI initiatives across the commercial organization.
• Translate complex business, medical, and scientific questions into analytical frameworks, delivery plans, and measurable outcomes.
• Design, validate, and deploy predictive models, algorithms, prototypes, and production-ready solutions using Python, SQL, and PySpark.
• Apply experimentation, test/control design, causal inference, attribution, and other commercial measurement methods.
• Partner with commercial, brand, sales operations, data, media, vendor, and information systems stakeholders.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, reusable methodologies, and clear presentations for technical, scientific, medical, commercial, and executive audiences.

Requirements

• Doctorate degree, or a master's degree with 2 years of relevant experience, or a bachelor's degree with 4 years of relevant experience, with equivalent pathways available for associate degrees and high school diplomas/GEDs.
• Experience leading end-to-end data science or advanced analytics projects independently.
• Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, and PySpark.
• Experience with supervised and unsupervised machine learning, large complex datasets, distributed computing, cloud environments, and modern data platforms.
• Strong statistical, analytical, communication, storytelling, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to work on-site in Deerfield, Illinois at least 2 days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience with Pandas, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, NumPy, PyTorch, Spark, Databricks, Git, or equivalent tools.
• Experience with transformer-based modeling, advanced machine learning, AI, or GenAI use cases.
• Biotech, pharmaceutical, or healthcare experience with claims, patient, healthcare professional, sales, or promotional data.
