Senior Data Scientist (AI)

Location: Remote; occasional travel is required for company or team events and at least twice per year for collaborative sessions and summits.

Salary: $159,100–$179,000 base salary per year, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead the analytical strategy for improving engagement, utilization, and outcomes across Spring Practice, the care coordination and provider platform.
• Apply predictive modeling, classification, clustering, AI, and advanced analytical methods to improve scheduling, provider matching, and care coordination workflows.
• Design and execute rapid experimentation programs, including hypothesis testing and quasi-experimental analysis, to evaluate workflow improvements.
• Partner with product management, design, engineering, an Analytics Engineer, and a Data Analyst to define metrics and influence the product roadmap.
• Analyze large, multi-source datasets, perform feature engineering, and source data quickly to answer critical business questions.
• Provide recommendations that improve member and provider experience, care coordination efficiency, and health outcomes.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional data science experience.
• Hands-on experience with experimentation, hypothesis testing, and quasi-experimental methods.
• Proficiency with SQL and Python.
• Experience with data modeling using dbt or similar tools and with data visualization and BI tools such as Omni or Hex.
• Experience with product development and the software development lifecycle, plus strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to use AI for complex business problems, including prompt engineering for LLMs, AI-assisted code optimization and documentation, and establishing team best practices.

• Experience navigating ambiguous problem areas and learning new analytical approaches.
• Proven ability to manage priorities and dependencies in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
