Mechatronics & Robotics Apprentice (Robotics)

Location: Onsite at the home site in Stockton, California, USA. Participation also requires attendance at a 9-week training program at an approved college in Indiana, Pennsylvania, California, Georgia, or Texas, followed by one year of on-the-job learning at the home site.

Salary: $24.10–$28.35 per hour.

What you will do

• Install, repair, adjust, test, and maintain electronic, mechanical, computer, control, and material handling systems.
• Perform scheduled, predictive, and preventive maintenance to detect and prevent equipment failures.
• Analyze technical specifications for mechatronic systems, subsystems, modules, and components.
• Learn PLCs and collaborate with Automation Engineers in laboratory and on-the-job settings.
• Follow safety procedures and communicate effectively with technical advisors and coworkers.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be able to attend a 9-week training program at Vincennes University, Lehigh Carbon Community College, Bakersfield College, Ogeechee Technical College, or Dallas College–Eastfield Campus.
• Must complete one year of on-the-job learning at the home site after the training program.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, shifts, and areas.
• Ability to reach overhead, kneel, squat, climb ladders, use an aerial lift, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in a warehouse with fluctuating temperatures while wearing required PPE.

Nice to have

• Experience in electrical, mechanical, or controls work.
