What you will do

• Manage litigated auto and homeowners claims from initial analysis through settlement or trial.
• Develop discovery strategies involving depositions, expert retention, independent medical examinations, and accident reconstruction.
• Direct defense counsel, determine litigation strategy, provide settlement authority, and participate in negotiations, mediations, and settlement conferences.
• Assess liability, damages, coverage, and risk while managing defense costs, indemnity, and outside-counsel budgets.
• Prepare recommendations for litigated cases and present them to local and executive management.

Requirements

• 6–7 years of claims experience, including 2–4 years in a senior casualty role or equivalent complex casualty/litigation experience.
• At least 1 year of litigation experience and the ability to handle minor, moderate, and complex litigated claims.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, decision-making, communication, and presentation skills.
• Knowledge of statutory and regulatory requirements and ability to develop proficiency in civil procedure standards.
• High school diploma/GED or at least 3 years of casualty claims experience in the property and casualty insurance industry.
• Indefinite authorization to work in the United States is required; visa sponsorship and future immigration support are not available.
