What you will do

• Manage and investigate large loss and high-exposure homeowner property claims, including litigated files and claims involving attorneys or public adjusters.
• Verify coverage, interpret policies and jurisdictional documents, determine liability, and assess the scope of damage.
• Conduct inspections, investigate origin and cause, identify prior losses and environmental exposures, and coordinate with insureds, experts, vendors, officials, and other claims professionals.
• Prepare and reconcile large loss and total loss estimates using Xactimate and determine appropriate damage valuations.
• Negotiate settlements, manage Additional Living Expense and Loss of Rent restoration periods, and maintain communication throughout the claim lifecycle.
• Support catastrophe events, process improvement initiatives, mentoring, and training for claims professionals.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of dwelling estimating experience preferred, with sustained technical performance.
• Experience handling homeowner property losses of $50,000 or greater and complex or litigated claims.
• Advanced knowledge of homeowner policy interpretation, coverage analysis, leases, by-laws, declarations, and contract coverages.
• Advanced Xactimate expertise; Level 3 certification is encouraged.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required state adjuster licenses and comply with United States jurisdictional regulatory requirements.
• Strong communication, negotiation, analytical, decision-making, business acumen, and vendor-management skills.

Nice to have

• Xactimate Level 3 certification.
• Experience with catastrophe claims and special investigation activities.
