TL;DR
Data Engineer (GCP) (GCP/PostgreSQL/Looker Studio): Building and maintaining KPI reporting data pipelines and curated datasets for a global retail task management platform with an accent on data quality, dimensional modeling, and scalable reporting. Focus on optimizing cloud-based data workflows, translating business metrics into technical specifications, and ensuring reliable dashboard performance.
Location: Remote from Ukraine; candidates may be based in Kyiv, Lviv, Rivne, or Odesa.

What you will do
- Design, develop, and maintain data models and ETL/ELT pipelines for KPI and operational reporting.
- Extract, transform, validate, and consolidate data from PostgreSQL and other sources.
- Prepare curated datasets and reporting layers for Looker Studio dashboards.
- Develop and operate data solutions in Google Cloud Platform, including monitoring, logging, governance, and cost optimization.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, product owners, software developers, and QA teams to define metrics and validate reporting accuracy.
- Document data models, transformations, technical solutions, and business rules while participating in Agile ceremonies.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
- Strong SQL and PostgreSQL skills, including relational data modeling and query optimization.
- Experience with ETL/ELT, data integration, data warehousing, and dimensional modeling.
- Experience working with Google Cloud Platform and building data sources for BI and reporting tools.
- Hands-on experience with Looker Studio or Google Data Studio, KPI reporting, and translating business metrics into technical solutions.
- Upper-Intermediate English required. Strong analytical, communication, and Agile collaboration skills are also required.
Nice to have
- Experience with BigQuery and other Google Cloud data services.
- Familiarity with Python for data processing and automation.
- Experience in retail, workforce management, operational analytics, or application telemetry.
