Data Engineer

TL;DR

Data Engineer (Automation & Innovation): Building and maintaining robust data ingestion processes and complex pipelines for a large-scale Data Lake with an accent on cloud-native architecture and streaming data integration. Focus on designing scalable ETL/ELT frameworks, optimizing data performance, and ensuring high-quality data governance across international systems.

Location: Warsaw, Poland (Hybrid: 2-3 days/week in office)

What you will do

• Build and maintain data ingestion processes from diverse sources into the Data Lake.
• Design, develop, and optimize complex data pipelines for reliable data flow.
• Create and maintain frameworks that facilitate the construction of data pipelines.
• Implement end-to-end testing frameworks to ensure data quality.
• Collaborate with data analysts and scientists to support analytics and reporting.
• Ensure robust data governance, security, and compliance practices.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a Data Engineering role.
• Practical experience with GCP services (BigQuery, Dataflow, GCS, Data Catalog) and dbt.
• Advanced SQL proficiency including complex queries, CTEs, and window functions.
• Strong Python coding skills.
• Experience with Apache Airflow, Spark, Hadoop, and Kafka.
• Good command of English.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical or quantitative field.
• Understanding of Machine Learning and MLOps principles.
• Experience in international or multi-country data projects.
• Strong communication skills for translating technical findings into business insights.
