TL;DR
Data Engineer (Greenplum/SQL/Python): Developing and optimizing scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and production data marts for reliable analytics and reporting with an accent on distributed MPP architecture, query performance, and data quality. Focus on implementing incremental and idempotent loading, optimizing execution plans and data distribution, and ensuring data mart freshness SLAs.
Location: Remote, Minsk, Belarus; office and hybrid options are also available

What you will do
- Develop ETL/ELT pipelines for data ingestion and transformation based on system analysis specifications.
- Implement Greenplum data mart prototypes in production, including SQL refactoring, incremental loading, and idempotency.
- Optimize Greenplum queries and data marts through distribution keys, partitioning, execution plan analysis, and resource configuration.
- Configure pipeline orchestration, monitoring, and alerting for large-volume data processing.
- Perform data quality checks and maintain data mart freshness SLAs.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer.
- Strong SQL skills, including complex queries, window functions, and work with large tables; advanced Python proficiency.
- Extensive Greenplum experience, including distributed architecture, MPP systems, partitioning, query optimization, execution plan analysis, VACUUM/ANALYZE, append-optimized tables, and column-oriented tables.
- Experience with data warehouse systems and data modeling principles, including Data Vault and star/snowflake schemas.
- Experience with Airflow or similar orchestration tools, Git, CI/CD pipelines, code reviews, and large-volume data processing.
- English at Intermediate level or above; ability to analyze source-system documentation, collaborate with system owners, and write clear technical specifications.
