Test Automation Engineer (Playwright)

Location: Portugal — Évora, Fundão, Lisbon, or Vila Nova de Gaia. Hybrid work is available under hirify.global Portugal’s hybrid work policy, with flexibility to work remotely or from the office.

What you will do

• Define test strategies, test plans, and quality gates for software delivery.
• Execute manual and automated testing for web applications and APIs.
• Build and maintain automated UI and API testing frameworks using Playwright, Selenium, Postman, and Karate DSL.
• Integrate automated tests into Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, and Azure DevOps pipelines.
• Perform performance testing, analyze bottlenecks, and support reliable releases.
• Collaborate with developers, Product Owners, and stakeholders while mentoring team members on testing practices.

Requirements

• Experience with test automation for web applications and APIs.
• Strong knowledge of Playwright, Selenium, Postman, and Karate DSL.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD and DevOps practices, including Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, and Azure DevOps.
• Experience implementing and maintaining quality gates within delivery pipelines.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure and familiarity with TMAP and/or ISTQB methodologies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder collaboration skills.

Nice to have
