Senior QA Engineer (API and Automation Expertise) (API testing/automation): Designing and improving manual, automated, exploratory, and API testing strategies for mobility software with an accent on REST API quality, release coverage, and efficient QA processes. Focus on building automated regression coverage, analyzing root causes, mentoring QA colleagues, and using AI tools to improve testing workflows.

Location: Porto, Portugal, with a hybrid work model of up to 3 remote days per week. Only candidates with an existing legal right to work in the European Union will be considered.

hirify.global is recruiting for Daloop, a Galp-owned software solutions provider developing technology for the Iberian mobility market.

What you will do

• Define test cases, test plans, strategies, and scenarios from requirements and user stories.
• Plan QA activities and oversee manual, automated, exploratory, UI, and API testing.
• Create and maintain automated test scripts and improve functional and automation procedures.
• Document, prioritize, and investigate defects, including root cause analysis with feature teams.
• Collaborate with development, product, and business teams throughout the software lifecycle.
• Track QA metrics, mentor colleagues, and promote modern QA practices and process improvements.

Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience as a QA Tester or in a similar role.
• Experience leading QA activities across multiple production releases.
• Hands-on experience testing REST APIs with tools such as Postman, UI testing of back-office or admin panels, and exploratory testing.
• Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, test types, and industry best practices, with experience using Jira or similar tools and Oracle DB.
• Proficiency with AI tools for improving testing processes, plus strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Fluent English is required, and candidates must already have the legal right to work in the European Union.

Nice to have

• Experience with Selenium or JMeter.
• Experience with AI-assisted regression automation for end-to-end testing.
