Senior Test Automation Engineer – QA and Development (QA Automation)

Location: Lisbon, Portugal, hybrid with up to 2 remote days per week; candidates must already have the legal right to work in the European Union

What you will do

• Design and maintain reusable page-object, service-object, and data-driven automation frameworks.
• Develop and execute UI, API, and mobile test scripts with privacy-by-design principles.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines and monitor pipeline health.
• Create test status reports, dashboards, and KPIs while maintaining defect traceability.
• Debug failing test scripts and pipeline steps by reading Java code, and participate in automation code reviews.
• Facilitate stakeholder meetings and present clear technical and business-facing reports.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience in test automation or a related field.
• Strong experience with Selenium WebDriver, Cucumber/BDD, Rest Assured, Postman, Karate, and Appium.
• Solid Java programming skills, including debugging and extending automation code.
• Experience building and maintaining Jenkins or GitLab CI pipelines.
• Experience with Jira/Xray, test management, and KPI definition.
• English at a communicative level and an existing legal right to work in the European Union are required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of banking or wealth management domains.
• French language skills.
• Leadership experience guiding and mentoring team members.
