Mid-Level QA Analyst (Playwright)

Location: Porto, Portugal; hybrid work with 3 remote days per week. Candidates must have an existing legal right to work in Europe.

What you will do

• Define and implement test strategies and detailed test plans for new features and product releases.
• Design and execute functional, regression, integration, and exploratory manual testing.
• Build and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks with Playwright and JavaScript.
• Improve QA tooling and automation infrastructure, including tool selection and maintenance.
• Document and track defects in Jira while collaborating with developers and product managers on resolution.
• Report testing progress, defects, and risks, and contribute to Agile ceremonies and continuous QA improvement.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of Quality Assurance experience, including test strategy and automation.
• Experience establishing testing strategies for complex software products.
• Hands-on experience writing automated tests with Playwright and JavaScript.
• Strong manual testing skills and understanding of the SDLC and Agile practices, including Scrum or Kanban.
• Strong analytical, communication, and attention-to-detail skills, with familiarity with Jira and test management workflows.
• Native or near-native French and professional-fluency English are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins or GitLab CI.
• Knowledge of additional programming languages.
• ISTQB or another relevant QA certification.
