Materials Handler (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Receive, unload, verify, pack, unpack, crate, palletize, and stage incoming and outgoing materials and shipments.
• Move hardware, equipment, components, and materials between receiving, warehouse, production, cleanroom, engineering, test, and staging areas.
• Operate forklifts and other powered material-handling equipment according to procedures and training requirements.
• Support inventory organization, put-away, cycle counts, kitting, material issuance, and inventory reporting.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized logistics areas while supporting 5S activities and waste recycling.
• Coordinate with Logistics, Supply Chain, Production, Quality, Engineering, carriers, couriers, and delivery personnel.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in material handling, warehousing, shipping and receiving, manufacturing, logistics, or a related area preferred.
• Forklift certification is preferred; willingness to obtain required certification is required.
• Experience handling trucks, pallets, crates, freight shipments, packaging, manufactured goods, dangerous goods, or hazardous materials.
• Ability to use hand and power tools and Microsoft Excel or ERP/MRP systems for inventory tracking.
• Ability to perform physical warehouse work, including extended standing and walking, lifting at least 40 lbs unassisted, and moving heavier items with appropriate equipment or team lifting.
