What you will do

• Develop global commodity strategies to ensure best-in-class cost, quality, and delivery across the supplier base.
• Lead strategic sourcing and high-stakes commercial negotiations to structure supply agreements and LTAs.
• Manage the transition from New Product Introduction (NPI) to rate production, securing capacity and de-risking long lead items.
• Coordinate cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance, and Legal to align procurement with program milestones.
• Maintain ERP procurement data integrity and track KPIs regarding spend and supplier performance.
• Ensure strict compliance with AS9100 and U.S. export-control requirements (ITAR/EAR).

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in strategic sourcing or global supply management, ideally in aerospace, defense, automotive, or robotics.
• Proven track record of negotiating complex, high-value supply agreements and delivering measurable cost reductions.
• Experience managing direct material spend in the tens of millions of dollars.
• Strong analytical skills in should-cost modeling and total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and advanced Excel.
• Must be authorized to access information protected under U.S. export control laws (EAR).

Nice to have

• Experience building a procurement function at a startup or high-growth company.
• Working knowledge of AS9100 and U.S. export controls (ITAR and EAR).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Direct experience sourcing propulsion, powertrain, or electronic commodities.
