Senior Global Supply Manager (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Develop global commodity strategies and build a resilient supplier base for propulsion, powertrain, and electronics.
• Lead strategic sourcing, cost modeling, long-term deal structuring, and high-stakes commercial negotiations.
• Manage supplier qualification, onboarding, performance reviews, dispute resolution, and continuous improvement.
• Secure capacity and manage long-lead items from new product introduction through production ramp.
• Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Program Management, Finance, and Legal to align procurement with program milestones and design intent.
• Maintain ERP and planning data, procurement KPIs, spend reporting, and supplier performance records.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, global supply management, or direct procurement.
• Experience in aerospace, defense, automotive, robotics, complex hardware, or disruptive manufacturing environments.
• Demonstrated success negotiating complex, high-value supply agreements and delivering measurable cost reductions.
• Experience managing significant direct material spend across multiple commodities and suppliers.
• Strong quantitative skills, including should-cost modeling and total cost of ownership analysis.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite, advanced Excel, and cross-functional stakeholder management.

Nice to have

• Experience building a procurement function at a startup or high-growth company.
• Working knowledge of AS9100 and U.S. export controls, including ITAR and EAR.
• Experience sourcing propulsion, powertrain, or electronic commodities.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Desire to grow into a leadership role.
