Solutions Engineer - Commercial (New Business) (Networking & Security)

Location: Remote in Canada

OTE compensation: $201,000–$268,000 CAD annually, including base salary and variable compensation tied to quarterly sales targets.

What you will do

• Partner with Account Executives to identify, qualify, and close new Commercial customer opportunities.
• Lead technical discovery, solution architecture, product demonstrations, and proof-of-concepts.
• Guide complex multi-stakeholder deals by aligning technical and business objectives.
• Provide structured feedback to influence the product roadmap and go-to-market strategy.
• Build scalable enablement resources, demo environments, and solution blueprints for the Solutions Engineering team.

Requirements

• 4–5+ years of experience in a customer-facing Solutions Engineer or Solutions Architect role within networking or security software.
• Experience co-owning pipeline and influencing quota outcomes with Sales.
• Strong networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls, and troubleshooting.
• Deep knowledge of zero-trust networking, secure connectivity, IAM integrations, SSO, SAML, and OIDC.
• Understanding of AI gateway and governance platforms, privileged access management, and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• Hands-on architecture experience with AWS, GCP, and/or Azure, plus the ability to translate technical features into business value.

Nice to have

• Experience with PAM capabilities such as session recording, just-in-time access, and protocol-aware controls.
• Experience in high-growth or startup environments.
