The Exploration Company is developing, producing, and operating Nyx, a modular and reusable space orbital vehicle for cargo and human transport.
What you will do
- Design, tune, and validate closed-loop control functions for fluidic systems including pressure, flow rate, and valve position.
- Develop Simulink functions for control logic, state machines, mode management, and actuator command generation.
- Build control-oriented models and test-data replay workflows to support design and validation.
- Analyze controller performance, stability, robustness, and operating envelope constraints.
- Implement control features such as PID, feedforward, filtering, and gain scheduling.
- Support MIL, SIL, and HIL activities to verify application behavior before deployment.
Requirements
- Engineering degree in control systems, aerospace, electrical, mechanical, robotics, or related field.
- Practical experience developing functions in MATLAB and Simulink.
- Strong understanding of feedback control, system dynamics, stability, and filtering.
- Experience implementing and testing control or embedded application logic for real physical systems.
- Ability to analyze logs, simulation results, and test data to improve system design.
- Willingness to relocate to Bordeaux, France.
Nice to have
- Experience with state machines, diagnostics, and production-style Simulink models.
- Familiarity with state estimation, system identification, or robust control.
- Experience with automatic code generation and embedded control workflows.
- Previous experience in automotive, aerospace, propulsion, or other safety-critical dynamic systems.
