What you will do

• Set technical direction and make architecture decisions for DAP onboarding, repository, and background flows.
• Design and deliver autonomous and scheduled agents that operate on customer codebases.
• Improve onboarding so customers can configure projects and become productive quickly.
• Collaborate across the Duo Agent Platform organization on interfaces, shared patterns, and platform capabilities.
• Mentor senior and intermediate engineers through design and code reviews.
• Resolve complex technical problems and improve engineering quality across the team.

Requirements

• Deep production experience with Ruby and Ruby on Rails.
• Experience integrating LLMs into products rather than training machine-learning models.
• Experience building autonomous or semi-autonomous agentic systems.
• Track record of designing and shipping complex, high-scale systems.
• Experience setting technical direction across teams and influencing engineering decisions.
• Strong written communication and the ability to work effectively in a distributed, async-first environment.
