Team Lead - Renewable Studies

Location: Lakewood, Colorado, USA, or full-time remote within the United States. Local in-office work and occasional field work may be required; typical travel is 15–25%.

Salary: $100,000–$150,000 per year, based on the Denver, Colorado labor market.

What you will do

• Lead and manage engineers performing detailed electrical studies for solar, BESS, wind, and substation projects.
• Deliver studies including short circuit, load flow, harmonics, losses, transient over-voltage, grounding, arc flash, and dynamic modeling.
• Review studies and conduct QA/QC while maintaining project scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
• Coordinate with internal teams, external stakeholders, and clients as the primary contact for assigned renewable studies.
• Provide PRC/MOD regulatory compliance support from conceptual design through testing and commissioning.
• Coach team members and support the development of study templates, methodologies, best practices, and software troubleshooting guidance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology; an electric power option is preferred.
• At least 5 years of relevant engineering or field experience.
• FE licensure is required; PE licensure is preferred.
• Proficiency with power system modeling software such as PowerFactory, ETAP, CDEGS, WinIGS, PSS®E, PSLF, CymCap, or PSCAD.
• Strong written, oral, interpersonal, and people-management skills.
• Must be currently authorized to work full-time in the United States.
