Senior Thermal Analyst (Nuclear)

Location: 100% onsite at the El Segundo, California headquarters, United States. Extended hours and weekend work may be required.

Salary: $139,500–$224,700 per year, plus equity.

hirify.global is a startup developing portable, factory-built nuclear microreactors for hospitals, data centers, remote sites, and military bases.

What you will do

• Own thermal CFD analyses evaluating the design and performance of microreactor systems.
• Develop models for turbulent flow, heat transfer, and multiphysics interactions.
• Define and implement CFD simulation best practices.
• Build automated workflows that improve simulation capabilities, accuracy, and efficiency.
• Collaborate across engineering disciplines on reduced-order analysis methods and reactor milestones.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
• 5+ years of experience with STAR-CCM+, Ansys Fluent, or another commercial CFD code.
• Mastery of finite element and computational fluid dynamics modeling principles and methods.
• Proficiency with Siemens NX or comparable CAD software.
• Ability to communicate and distill technical information for cross-functional teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with radiation heat transport modeling.
• Knowledge of nuclear reactor design.
• Demonstrated ownership and ability to drive work from start to finish.
