What you will do

• Own delivery of major fuel cycle systems from concept through integration, including process design, procurement, installation, and commissioning
• Define plant-level fuel cycle philosophy and tradeoffs including operational approach, throughput, energy usage, and safety
• Use first-principles analysis, modeling, and simulation tools to evaluate design operability under various scenarios
• Set technical direction for detailed design of process equipment across ambient, high-temp, cryogenic, and vacuum conditions
• Develop and maintain core engineering design deliverables ensuring technical rigor and consistency
• Drive cross-functional alignment and lead high-level design reviews as technical authority

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Nuclear Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred
• 12+ years of experience in chemical process design and first-of-a-kind hardware development
• Deep expertise in transport phenomena, thermodynamics, and reaction engineering
• Proven ownership of large-scale integrated systems and system-level decision making
• Technical authority in fusion fuel cycle engineering domains such as isotope separation, tritium handling, cryogenic and vacuum systems
• Work onsite at Everett, WA office
