Location: Onsite in Torrance, California, United States. Candidates must be able to lawfully access information and technology subject to US export controls and be eligible to work in the United States.
Salary: $111,300–$176,720 USD, depending on level. Engineer II / E04: $111,300–$153,040; Senior Engineer / E05: $128,520–$176,720.

What you will do
- Transition newly developed production equipment from qualification into sustained manufacturing and take technical ownership of assigned L-PBF machines.
- Improve equipment reliability, throughput, yield, dimensional accuracy, repeatability, utilization, and overall equipment effectiveness.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, controls, software, and process-related production issues and implement corrective actions.
- Support equipment qualification, validation, installation, commissioning, factory and site acceptance testing, and production ramp activities.
- Collaborate with design, controls, software, mechanical, electrical, systems, operations, maintenance, and quality engineering teams.
- Develop fleet standards, maintenance procedures, calibration documentation, configuration controls, and lessons learned for future factory deployments.
Requirements
- Ability to lawfully access US export-controlled information and technology.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
- 4–6 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, equipment engineering, reliability engineering, or advanced production environments.
- Experience launching or ramping production equipment or processes.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and/or controls systems.
- Experience with structured root cause analysis, cross-functional collaboration, and data-driven decision-making.
Nice to have
- Experience with Laser Powder Bed Fusion or other metal additive manufacturing technologies.
- Background in aerospace, automotive, semiconductor, or high-volume precision manufacturing.
- Knowledge of AS9100, AMS, PPAP, APQP, or equivalent quality systems.
- Experience with equipment reliability, OEE improvement, preventative maintenance, machine sensor data, PLCs, industrial automation, or capital equipment commissioning.
