Focus on evaluating manufacturing capabilities, managing cost, schedule, and performance, and preparing technical analyses and briefings for government and senior leadership.

Location: Arlington or Alexandria, Virginia, or telework within the National Capital Region

Salary: $119,000–$172,000 USD annually

What you will do

  • Advise government customers on advanced manufacturing initiatives and industrial base investments.
  • Evaluate project proposals, technical feasibility, funding strategies, and implementation approaches.
  • Assess manufacturing capabilities, industrial base risks, and supply chain challenges.
  • Develop acquisition documentation, technical analyses, briefings, reports, and official correspondence.
  • Track project cost, schedule, performance, program data, and contract awardee execution.
  • Coordinate with government stakeholders, mission partners, industry, and geographically dispersed teams.

Requirements

  • Active SECRET security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain TOP SECRET clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, systems engineering, or a related field; equivalent military experience may be considered.
  • At least 10 years of experience in industrial manufacturing or RDT&E, or 5 years with a related master’s degree.
  • Experience facilitating manufacturing production sites or supporting product lifecycle management and engineering.
  • Experience supporting hardware development or sustainment within the U.S. military, senior defense organizations, or an industrial organization.
  • Experience writing and presenting technical information, with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.

Nice to have

  • Experience with defense acquisition lifecycle activities and the PPBE process.
  • Experience advising senior military leaders and strategic staff organizations.
  • PMP, CSEP, or equivalent professional certification.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher with process improvement experience.
