Staff Product Manager (Healthcare)

Location: Remote within the United States; the role supports the Veterans Affairs business unit and requires an active Public Trust (Tier 2) clearance on Day 1.

Salary: $140,000–$150,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead product strategy, roadmap development, prioritization, and execution for a large Veterans healthcare product.
• Provide strategic oversight for a secondary Tier 3 support product while partnering with its product lead.
• Translate stakeholder objectives and user needs into prioritized backlogs and actionable delivery plans.
• Partner with engineering, design, Scrum, government, and cross-functional teams to deliver incremental value.
• Drive migration from legacy systems to modern digital experiences and remove delivery blockers.
• Communicate product priorities, risks, tradeoffs, and outcomes to technical teams, executives, and government stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 9+ years of relevant experience; equivalent experience may substitute for education.
• 3+ years leading cross-functional Agile product teams and experience using Agile Scrum methodologies.
• Experience serving as the primary product manager for externally facing digital products.
• Strong product roadmap, prioritization, stakeholder management, and influencing skills without direct authority.
• Active Public Trust (Tier 2) security clearance required on Day 1; the clearance must be maintained throughout employment.
• Ability to work remotely from within the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with consumer-facing healthcare or medical technology products involving PHI, medical records, patient portals, laboratory results, or clinical notifications.
• Experience supporting federal government digital services or the Department of Veterans Affairs.
• Experience leading legacy modernization or digital transformation initiatives.
• Experience with live production environments, Tier 3 support, incident management, or operational product ownership.
