Salary: CAD 216,000–297,000 annual base salary, plus potential equity, bonus, and benefits.

What you will do

• Model and solve authentication and security problems using AI and machine learning.
• Lead end-to-end model development, including training traditional ML models and fine-tuning or aligning language models.
• Create and maintain evaluation and training datasets and workflows.
• Take AI ideas from research through rapid prototyping and product recommendations.
• Evaluate solutions across quality, security, latency, and cost.
• Set the technical direction for AI innovation and own hands-on delivery as the team's first AI/ML specialist.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in machine learning or applied research roles.
• Experience leading multiple zero-to-one AI or ML projects and shipping practical AI or ML systems.
• Strong Python, machine learning frameworks, and software engineering skills.
• Ability to understand computer systems and apply that knowledge to complex technical problems.
• Strong learning, communication, collaboration, and customer problem-understanding skills.
• Ability to work from the Toronto office three days per week in a hybrid arrangement.

Nice to have

• Experience building security-related products.
• PhD in a relevant field is not required.
