What you will do

• Own the solution architecture for agentic workflows, MCP surfaces, and multi-agent orchestration across IDE, CI/CD, and pull request environments.
• Identify, prototype, propose, and deliver new integrations that bring application security capabilities into agentic developer workflows.
• Design and build agents, skills, MCP tools, and APIs with strong governance, permissions, and auditability.
• Own the technical direction and continued development of the Black Duck MCP Gateway.
• Improve SAST AI Fix Recommendation and other agentic remediation capabilities.
• Mentor engineers on agentic system design and modern integration patterns.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience building agentic AI systems, including multi-agent orchestration, task decomposition, and tool use with frameworks such as LangChain, PydanticAI, or LangGraph.
• Experience building or integrating MCP servers or comparable plugin and tool architectures for AI assistants, IDEs, and CI/CD workflows.
• At least 2 years of production experience applying LLMs, including prompt engineering, RAG pipelines, model APIs, and agent evaluation frameworks.
• Strong API and systems design experience shipping integrations, SDKs, reusable connectors, or canonical models.
• Experience with CI/CD, Git workflows, modern developer tooling, Python, TypeScript or JavaScript, Go, APIs, and distributed systems.
• 8+ years of broad software engineering experience, initiative in owning projects end to end, and strong cross-functional communication.

Nice to have

• Experience with application security, SAST, SCA, DAST, ASPM, or DevSecOps tooling.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or Cursor.
• Knowledge of vector databases, retrieval pipelines, function calling, and structured output parsing.
• Experience publishing developer-facing packages through npm or PyPI.
• Background contributing to open-source developer tooling or SDKs.
