Principal Machine Learning Operations Developer (AI/ML Platform)

Location: Canada; open to Toronto, Ontario or remote from Ontario

Salary: CAD 153,000–224,400 base annually for Canada-based roles; offers may exceed this range and may include bonuses, stock grants, and benefits.

What you will do

• Drive operational excellence and technical direction across the AI/ML development lifecycle.
• Design and build scalable, secure, and reliable AI/ML platform services.
• Implement automated deployment pipelines and tools for machine learning models and artifacts.
• Build infrastructure for model training, inference, data processing, and artifact management.
• Develop low-latency prediction services, monitoring, logging, and operational reliability systems.
• Provide architectural direction while collaborating with researchers, data engineers, software developers, product managers, architects, and operations teams.

Requirements

• Principal-level experience building and operating machine learning platforms and MLOps systems.
• Experience with model deployment, inference services, data transformation, data stores, and large-scale data processing.
• Strong background in automation, scalable infrastructure, monitoring, logging, and production operations.
• Experience with model version control, governance, security, compliance, data privacy, and ethical AI practices.
• Must be based in Canada; the remote option is limited to Ontario.
